Autism Twitter Day - Tuesday, Dec 16th pacific standard time - 9AM, 12:30 PM and 8 PM. Prizes will be given out and a panel will be available with information and to answer questions.
This is open to twitter members, specifically those who are members of the autism community, whether it be a parent, sibling or relative. If you are on the spectrum you are welcome to take part. Most of the prizes are geared to children and young adults with autism or asperger syndrome.
The hashtag to be used for autism twitter day is #ASD. This means when you post a tweet that day which is on the topic of autism - positive autism awareness, please use the hashtag, either in front or at end of the tweet. Open up a window at www.summize.com and input #ASD to follow along with the conversation at the specified times. Most likely they will run longer than one hour. Stay tuned here and to my blog for prize and panel info. http://autismfamiily.blogspot.com
We will be testing your knowledge on autism spectrum disorders, this is how the prizes will be awarded. Here is an example of a quiz I have on my site

Feel free to post about your autism experiences using the #ASD hashtag throughout the day. I will be posting asking for those who have blogs to post them, and also asking for anyone to tweet on IEPs, homeschooling, gfcf diets, supplements, behavior issues, medication, various levels of functioning, bus issues, toilet training, social skills, etc.
This will open it up for members to respond with links or tweet on the subject. Gather your links that you want to share and post so they are ready for Dec 16th.
Please do remember that I am in CA so you will not see me at 6 AM est as it will be only 3AM in Calilfornia. My son leaves for the bus about 7:00 AM Pacific standard time, afterwards I will be tweeting on autism spectrum disorders.
Please remember to share about your experiences with PDD-NOS and Asperger Syndrome. If you have a tip to share, pictures to post, as long as it is promoting positive autism awareness and not getting off track like promoting an autism organization.
This is for the families, teachers, therapists and adults on the autism spectrum to help get out info to the general public and share their own stories and tips on the subject. The prizes are geared to the families and helpful during this tough economic time.
